VINTAGE AND MODERN LAMP PLUGS

At TLG we offer a great selection of lamp plugs, and electrical cord plugs that are designed for many different applications including simple lamp plug replacement. We stock everything from decorative vintage-style lamp plugs to complement the rewiring of early electric lamps, to U.L and CSA listed, polarized lamp cord plugs, and even heavy-duty 2 prong and 3 prong electrical cord plugs (which provide for the attachment of a ground wire) for large diameter rayon and cloth covered electric cord, and PVC-covered appliance and lighting fixture cord.

HOW CAN YOU TELL THE AGE OF A LAMP BY ITS PLUG?

The plug of older lamps had prongs that were the same size, whereas modern plugs have prongs that are different sizes. Exposed wires or screws are other indicators of an antique cord. Fabric or cotton-covered cords are another sign of an older lamp.
